Sauerkraut Casserole

1 lb Mild Italian sausage links, cut into 1-in. slices.
1 lg Onion, chopped
2 Apples, peeled & quartered
1 cn Sauerkraut (27 oz.) undrained
1 c Water
1/2 c Packed brown sugar
2 ts Caraway seed
Snipped parsley (optional)

In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seed. Transfer to a 2 1/2-qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Garnish with parsley if desired.
