Oyster Casserole

1/2 cup butter
2 cups cracker crumbs (oysterettes)
1 pint Oysters (16 oz.)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
Salt & pepper to taste

Melt butter and add crackers and brown. Layer casserole dish with crackers and 1/2 Oysters. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat layer. Then mix milk and eggs and pour over casserole. Sprinkle a few crackers on top. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 F.
