Oyster Casserole

1 pint Oysters
1/2 lb. saltine crackers
Butter


Crumble enough crackers to cover bottom of two quart baking dish. Drain Oysters. Cover bottom of dish with buttered crumbs, salt and pepper. Cover crackers with Oysters. Cover Oysters with crumbled crackers and dot with butter. Add enough sweet milk to come up to top layer of crackers; but do not cover. Bake in oven at 350 F about 45 minutes.
