Cape Cod Casserole

2 lb. Scallops
6 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups milk
2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
1 (12 oz.) box noodles
6 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. sharp cheese


Oven at 350 F. Cook noodles and put in a greased 4 quart casserole. Melt butter, blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook until smooth. Slowly add milk and cook until sauce thickens, stirring constantly. Add Scallops and mushrooms to sauce. Pour over noodles, lifting to blend. Add part of cheese and stir again. Save enough cheese for top of casserole. Cover and bake 45 minutes.
