Cabbage and Shrimp Casserole

2 medium heads cabbage
2 onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 small garlic pods, minced
1 stick oleo
1/2 lb. cheese, grated*
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs*
1 lb. raw Shrimp or 2 cans Shrimp, drained
1/2 pint cream

*Reserve a portion for topping.

Chop cabbage, boil in salted water and drain. Saute onions, bell pepper and garlic in oleo. Add chopped cabbage and smother. Remove from heat and add grated cheese, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add bread crumbs and Shrimp. Put in casserole and pour cream over top of mixture. Top with reserved portion of bread crumbs and cheese. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes or until very hot.
