Potato Patch Casserole

1 lb Beef, ground
1/2 c Onion; chopped
1 Egg; beaten
1/4 c Breadcrumbs
1 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Celery salt
Oil, salad
5 c Potatoes, sliced
10 oz Peas and carrots; partially thawed
1 ts Salt
ds Pepper
1 1/2 c Milk
1 pk White sauce mix
1/2 lb Cheese, process; cubed


Combine ground beef, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Mix well. Shape into 10 meatballs; brown in salad oil. Combine potatoes, peas and carrots, salt, andpepper. Gradually add milk to sauce mix and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and cook until thickened; stir in cheese and heat until melted. Arrange meatballs in greased shallow 3-quart casserole dish. Add potatoe mixture; cover with cheese sauce. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until potatoes are done.
